The St Ives Brewery Sportive – Ride Cornwall’s Stunning Coastline and Celebrate with a Proper Pint

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Cornwall’s coastline on two wheels with the St Ives Brewery Sportive – a spectacular ride that takes you past some of the most iconic landscapes in the South West. With rolling coastal roads, historic landmarks, and a brewery-finish overlooking the Atlantic, this is a sportive not to be missed!

The Ride – A Coastal Adventure Like No Other

Starting and finishing at St Ives Brewhouse, this sportive takes you on a journey through Cornwall’s most scenic cycling routes. You’ll pedal along rugged cliffs, golden beaches, and through charming fishing villages, soaking in the fresh sea air and dramatic ocean views.

One of the highlights of the route is the unforgettable ride past St Michael’s Mount – the stunning tidal island rising from Mount’s Bay. A true Cornish landmark, this medieval castle on a rocky outcrop creates an awe-inspiring backdrop as you cruise along the coastline.

From here, the adventure continues as you push on towards the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole. This postcard-perfect harbour, with its narrow winding streets and historic granite cottages, offers a glimpse into Cornwall’s seafaring past – and a perfect mid-ride moment to take in the beauty of the Atlantic.

With rolling hills and some challenging climbs along the way, this sportive is a perfect mix of testing terrain and scenic rewards. Whether you choose the shorter route for a relaxed coastal ride or take on the full distance for a more demanding challenge, you’ll experience Cornwall at its finest.

The Brewery – The Perfect Finish Line

After conquering the ride, it’s time to celebrate in style at St Ives Brewhouse. Founded in 2010, this independent brewery is famous for its award-winning Cornish ales, crafted using traditional methods and inspired by the stunning landscape that surrounds it.

From the smooth and refreshing Porth Pilsner to the bold and hoppy Knill by Mouth IPA, every pint is brewed with passion and a deep connection to Cornwall’s rich brewing heritage. The brewery’s rooftop bar, with panoramic views over St Ives Bay, offers the ultimate spot to relax, soak up the sunshine, and toast your cycling achievement with a well-earned beer.
